Marc Scharding

Marc Scharding has a wealth of experience in security and law enforcement. Marc is currently working as the Head of Security & Emergency Services at ROLEX. Prior to this, they served as a Member of the Board of Directors at H.W. Protection Inc. from 2014 to 2022. From 2007 to 2022, they worked for The Swatch Group Ltd, where they held the position of Group Security Officer and was responsible for global physical security and various security functions. In their earlier career, Marc worked at Fedpol as a Superintendent, where they served as the Head of Protective Detail for the General Prosecutor of the U.N. International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia (ICTY), and also as the Liaison Officer to the Swiss Mission to the United Nations Office in Geneva. Marc began their career as a Detective at the Geneva Criminal Police, where they worked from 1990 to 2004.

Marc Scharding, MSyI, cATO, CPO has a diverse education history. Marc attended the S2 Safety & Intelligence Institute and the International Association for Counterterrorism and Security Professionals (IACSP) in 2014. At S2 Safety & Intelligence Institute, they obtained a Certificate in Maritime Security Awareness in the same year. Marc also completed Crisis Negotiations for First Responders at S2 Safety & Intelligence Institute in 2013. In 2012, they attended Winkelmann UK and obtained certifications in TSCM Operator - Countersurveillance scanner & NLJD. Furthermore, they received a Close Protection Operator certification from the German Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), Meckenheim/Wiesbaden, Germany in 1999. Additionally, they have obtained multiple additional certifications, including Certified Anti-Terrorism Officer (cATO) from the Certifying Board, The International Association for Counterterrorism and Security Professionals in 2014, and Maritime Security Awareness from S2 Safety & Intelligence Institute in 2014. Marc is also a Member of the Security Institute in the United Kingdom.
