Patrick Marchand has a strong background in tax, with their most recent position being the Head of Tax at Rolex SA since November 2009. Prior to that, they worked as a Tax Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers from 1995 to 2009. Additionally, they have experience in academia, having worked as an HEC Research Assistant at the University of Lausanne from 1992 to 1995. Marchand has also held leadership positions in the Western Switzerland Association of Certified Tax Experts, including serving as the President from 2011 to 2012.

Patrick Marchand received their General Maturité degree from Collège Champittet in 1988. Following this, they completed a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Lausanne, HEC Lausanne, between 1988 and 1992. Patrick then pursued a Master's degree in Law from the University of Geneva, Law Faculty, from 1992 to 1995. Finally, in 2000 to 2002, they obtained a certification as a Certified Tax Expert, specializing in Tax.
