Amy Smith

Amy Smith is currently an Engineering and Technology Graduate at Rolls-Royce, a position held since September 2022, after completing an Engineering and Technology Internship with the company in July to September 2021. Prior to that, Amy gained research experience as a Nextrode Intern at the University of Birmingham, focusing on the development of electrolytes for silicon oxide anode lithium-ion batteries during a July to September 2020 internship. Additionally, Amy completed a summer internship at the University of Birmingham in August to September 2019, funded by the Ironmongers' Scholarship, where the work involved designing a lab for undergraduate materials science students to demonstrate hardenability in steels. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Birmingham, earned from January 2018 to July 2022.
