Christopher Jones serves as the Core Materials Corrosion Section Lead and Core Materials Scientist at Rolls-Royce since November 2022, focusing on research and technology activities related to core materials for nuclear reactors. Prior experience includes a role as a Materials Scientist at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, where investigations into chromium coating effects on corrosion and hydrogen ingress were conducted. Christopher also completed a postdoctoral research position at The University of Manchester, contributing to the MIDAS program, and held various educational roles aimed at widening participation in higher education. Christopher holds a PhD in Materials for Demanding Environments from The University of Manchester and a Master's in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Birmingham.
