Dr Christopher Dodd

Dr. Christopher Dodd serves as the Digital Technical Specialist and Digital Cell Lead at Rolls-Royce since October 2014, focusing on the technical direction and management of data science projects to address engineering and business challenges. Previous roles at Rolls-Royce include Data Scientist, where the investigation and monetisation of data related to aero-engines occurred, and Component Cost Engineering Specialist, where advancements in cost modeling for engine projects and novel technologies were achieved. Dr. Dodd completed an EngD as a Research Engineer at the University of Southampton, concentrating on optimizing engineering product performance under manufacturing uncertainty. Educational background includes an MEng in Aerodynamics and Propulsion from the University of Southampton. Early experience includes roles as a Watersports Instructor at Sunsail.
