Gemma Barsby

Gemma Barsby has extensive experience in manufacturing systems and engineering, currently serving as the Manufacturing Systems Manager for Turbines New Facilities at Rolls-Royce since August 2004. Key responsibilities include leading the development and implementation of manufacturing systems for the Advanced Blade Casting Facility (ABCF) and the Advanced Machining Facility (AMF). Previous roles at Rolls-Royce include ABCF Factory Integration Lead and Component IPT Leader for the XWB Fuel Manifold project, focusing on timely delivery of engine components. Early career experience includes positions as a Manufacturing Engineer at Pektron plc and Renishaw, as well as summer placements and a year in industry. Gemma Barsby holds a Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering and Management from the University of Nottingham, completed in 2003.
