Markus Sons

Markus Sons is a seasoned engineering professional currently serving as Chief Engineer for the Commuter Aircraft Programme at Rolls-Royce since February 2020. Prior experience includes roles at Siemens from June 2013 to January 2020, where responsibilities spanned Lead Systems Architect, Project Manager, and various international trainee positions in project management and engineering. Earlier experience features a position as a Research Assistant at AREVA, focusing on structural health monitoring for wind turbines, and internships at Provenion Engineering and KMUTNB, where technical development and simulation modeling were key tasks. Additionally, experience includes software development at Supporting GmbH and tutoring at the Technische Universität München. Markus holds a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Maschinenbau from the Technical University of Munich and has further enriched education through a brief program at the National University of Singapore.
