Rob Miller

Rob Miller is an accomplished academic and leader in the field of aerothermal technology and turbomachinery, currently serving as the Lead at the Aviation Impact Accelerator since 2020 and holding the position of Co-Director at the Bennett Innovation Lab since 2025. Miller has extensive experience at the University of Cambridge, where tenure included roles such as Director of the Whittle Laboratory and the Rolls-Royce University Technology Centre, as well as positions as a Lecturer and Reader in Energy Technology. With a strong foundation in research from tenure as a Spooner Junior Research Fellow at New College, Oxford, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford, Miller holds both a Master of Arts in Engineering Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Unsteady Flow in Transonic Turbines from the University of Oxford. Additionally, involvement with Rolls-Royce as Director of the Rolls-Royce Whittle University Technology Centre since 2012 further enhances Miller's contributions to the aviation and energy sectors.
