Ryan Newell

Ryan Newell is a Chartered Engineer and Senior Nuclear Design Engineer at Rolls-Royce, specializing in nuclear mechanical engineering for terrestrial and space micro reactor design. They began their career as a Marine Engineer at Dr Diesel and advanced through various roles, including Mechanical Design Engineer and Innovation Engineer at Rolls-Royce. Ryan has also served as Chief Mechanic for Queen’s Formula Racing, helping the team achieve a notable standing in competitions. They hold a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with First Class Honours from Queen's University Belfast. Additionally, Ryan has been a dedicated crew member at RNLI since 2013.
