Sam Brown currently serves as the Space Micro-Reactor Lead Systems Engineer and Capability Acquisition Technical Lead at Rolls-Royce, a role that has been held since September 2014, focusing on a multimillion-pound Future Capabilities project. Previously, Sam was an NPI Engineer responsible for component ownership of Next Generation Submarines. Earlier experience includes a brief role as a Manufacturing Engineer at Vulcan to the Sky in May 2006, where practical skills in aerodynamics and jet engine workings were acquired. Sam holds an MPhys degree in Physics from the University of Hull, completed between 2010 and 2014, after studying at John Cleveland College from 2006 to 2010.
