Joerg Wimmer has extensive experience in electrical design and software engineering, having held various positions in prominent companies within the industry. Wimmer began as a technical consultant and application engineer at Weiler + Co GmbH from 1995 to 1999 before transitioning to a software designer role at Dr. Fritsch GmbH, where tenure lasted until 2005. Following that, Wimmer served as Leiter E-Konstruktion at Dr. Fritsch Group until July 2015 and subsequently took on the role of Manager Electrical Design at sortimat Assembly & Feeder Technology until September 2017. From October 2017 to January 2025, Wimmer was the Head of Controls Engineering at teamtechnik Maschinen und Anlagen GmbH, Medtech Division, and then worked briefly at teamtechnik Refugio Transfergesellschaft mbH in early 2025. Wimmer currently holds the position of Group Manager Software Engineering at Rommelag since July 2025. Wimmer earned a Diplom degree in Electrical Engineering/Automation Technology from FH Ulm/Geislingen between 1989 and 1994.
