Jonathan Carson, Ph.D. has worked in a variety of roles since 1998. Jonathan began their career as a Graduate Student of Mike Weber, PhD, and George Kulik, PhD in the Department of Microbiology / PWPB group in 1998. From 2002 to 2005, they held Post-Doctoral Fellow positions at Boston University School of Medicine and the Center for Molecular Imaging Research - MGH. From 2007 to 2020, they held various roles at Intrexon Corporation, including Executive Director of Technology Analysis, Senior Director of Technology Analysis, Director of Technology Analysis, Associate Director (various), and Senior Module Designer. Most recently, they have been a Strategic Marketing Manager at RoosterBio Inc. since 2020.

Jonathan Carson, Ph.D. began their educational journey in 1986 at Rose High School. In 1987, they attended both NCSSM and the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics. In 1989, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Jonathan then pursued a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Virginia, which they completed in 2002. Following this, they were awarded a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Department of Genetics and Genomics from Boston University School of Medicine. Finally, in 2005, they completed a Post-doctoral fellowship at the Center for Molecular Imaging Research at Harvard Medical School - Massachusetts General Hospital, where they studied Phage display and molecular imaging.
