Nicolas Burny

Nicolas Burny's work experience began in 2013 when they worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Université catholique de Louvain, where they tutored students in the "introduction to computer science" course. Nicolas also conducted an analysis of a mobile financial services network in Tanzania for their master thesis during this time.

Nicolas then joined MAINSYS as an IT Consultant in 2014 before moving on to Havas Media Group Belgium in 2016, where they worked as a Data Scientist. In 2019, they joined root: consulting as a Data Scientist and later became the Chief Technical Officer (CTO).

In 2017, Nicolas began their academic career at UCLouvain - Université catholique de Louvain as a Teaching and Research Assistant. Currently, they hold the position of Postdoctoral Researcher at the same university.

Nicolas Burny has a strong educational background in the field of technology and engineering. Nicolas completed their Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the Université catholique de Louvain between 2007 and 2012. Nicolas then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from the same institution from 2012 to 2014. Continuing their academic journey, Nicolas pursued a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in HCI & Data Science from the Université catholique de Louvain, which they are expected to complete between 2017 and 2022.
