Stéphane Lucien has extensive experience in the digital marketing industry. Stéphane is the co-founder and CEO of root:, a digital data-driven marketing consultancy company specializing in media data & programmatic buying. Stéphane has been with the company since December 2017.

Prior to root:, Stéphane owned Essellence Consulting, a company they created in January 2007. Stéphane was responsible for company management, account management, financial management, business development, project management, web development, web design, advertising campaign creative, and serving as a web consultant.

From 2015 to 2017, Stéphane worked at IPG Mediabrands, where they held the position of Managing Director @ IPG Mediabrands AdTech. Stéphane created the AdTech department in Belgium, responsible for digital departments such as programmatic buying, direct buys, ad operations, data management, strategy, and more. Stéphane also managed Cadreon, an agency trading desk that they transformed into a large Ad Tech company.

Before IPG Mediabrands, Stéphane worked at Reprise Media, Space, AdLink, Tsunami Concept/Inspiralis, Vadis International, and Ogilvy & Mather Advertising in various roles related to digital marketing, technical management, art direction, and creative design.

Stéphane Lucien's education history is as follows:

From 2002 to 2004, they pursued their Master Thesis at Université Saint-Louis - Bruxelles in the field of Internet / Interactive Multimedia Business Projects.

Between 1999 and 2002, Stéphane attended Ichec Brussels Management School for their MBA degree, specializing in Internet / European Master in Interactive Multimedia Business Projects.

In 1998, they obtained a Post-graduate qualification in Multimedia Conception from Creaform, focusing on Internet / CD-ROM development.

The year prior, in 1997, they studied at UMONS, where they received various diplomas in Infography, Computer Science Degree, and Desktop Publishing.

Stéphane's initial higher education occurred from 1994 to 1997, when they graduated from EISM with a degree in Marketing and Advertising.
