James Goddard

James Goddard has a diverse work experience spanning different companies and roles. James currently holds the position of Global Director of Sales at WALT Labs since May 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Google from 2020 to 2023, where they held two roles. As a Partner Manager - Cloud and Workspace, they were responsible for the UKI scaled partner strategy, achieving GCP revenue growth of over 100% YoY. James also built the UKI scaled partner business plan and managed 15 partners. In their previous role as an Industry Account Manager (Retail) - Cloud and Workspace, they were responsible for 50 corporate Retail and Telco customers, successfully displacing Microsoft and AWS by aligning with partners and CE's to meet customers' business needs.

Before their tenure at Google, James worked at Cisco from 2013 to 2020, where they held multiple roles. As the Global Account Manager, they led UKI relationships for three of Cisco's largest global clients, driving new relationships into C level and displacing Microsoft in two core areas of an account. As a Partner Account Manager, they led Cisco's largest commercial partner, achieving record annual commercial vendor revenue of $100m at 40% growth. James also created a software led strategy resulting in closing more Enterprise Agreements than any other partner in the UKI. Additionally, they worked as a Commercial Account Manager, responsible for 600 accounts in the SouthEast region and consistently overachieving target. James began their career at Cisco through the Cisco Graduate Scheme, where they received comprehensive training and assessment in multiple areas, including sales, communication, and technical ability.

Prior to their time at Cisco, James worked at McAfee as a UK Marketing Executive from 2011 to 2012.

James Goddard attended the University of the West of England from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a degree in Business Studies with a field of study in Business. Prior to that, they attended Shiplake College from 2004 to 2009, where they pursued 4 A levels. Their education journey started at St Neot's Preparatory School from 2000 to 2004. Additionally, James obtained a certification as a Cloud Digital Leader from Google Cloud in June 2022. Later, in 2020, they completed a course in Business Transformation with Google Cloud through Coursea.
