Andrew Beckett

Andrew Beckett is an experienced advisor currently at Root 5 Consulting, with a concurrent role as Chair at DS-Compliance since June 2022. Previously, Andrew held the position of Visiting Professor of Cyber Security at the University of South Wales from March 2017 to January 2023 and served as Managing Director for Cyber and Investigations at Kroll from November 2015 to January 2023. Andrew has extensive experience in cybersecurity, having led Cyber Defence services at CASSIDIAN CYBERSECURITY and founded Regency IT Consulting specializing in IT Security for central government clients. Notable earlier roles include Head of the Office of Confidentiality and Security at OPCW, Head of Information Security Consultancy at CESG, and leading the Security Practice at dbi consulting, where Andrew significantly contributed to departmental growth. Andrew's academic credentials include a PG Dip in Professional Administration from Birmingham City University.
