JJ Tang

JJ Tang has over six years of work experience. In 2021, JJ Tang became the Co-founder (YC S21) of Rootly, an incident management platform on Slack that helps automate manual admin work during incidents. From 2019 to 2021, JJ Tang was a Senior Product Manager at Instacart. From 2016 to 2019, JJ Tang was a Senior Product Manager, Product Manager, and Associate Product Manager at IBM, where they enabled IBM Watson Health to understand more than ever. In 2015, JJ Tang was the 1st Employee at Ada Inc, the leading provider of AI customer support chatbots. Also in 2015, JJ Tang was a Sales Development for Collaboration Solutions at Cisco. Finally, in 2014, JJ Tang was a Research Assistant at Ivey Business School, where they conducted research on various topics.

JJ Tang is a graduate of Y Combinator's S21 Batch, Western University's Bachelor's Degree program, and Suzhou Singapore International School's International Baccalaureate program. JJ also holds certifications from DZone (Core Author, obtained in June 2021), Product School (Featured Speaker, obtained in April 2019), and IBM (Design Thinking Practitioner, obtained in December 2017).
