Willem Broekaert

Willem Broekaert is the Managing Partner at V-Bio Ventures, where they focus on finding and financing innovative life sciences companies. They serve as a Board Director for multiple organizations including atbtherapeutics, Ubiqutek, and Aphea.Bio. Between 1999 and 2023, Willem was a part-time professor at KU Leuven, accumulating over 100 peer-reviewed publications in biotechnology and related fields. They held various leadership roles, including General Manager at B-Tek and Vice President of R&D at BASF CropDesign. Currently, Willem is pursuing a PhD in Agricultural Sciences and holds master’s degrees in Bio-engineering and the Economy and Management of Agricultural & Food Business from KU Leuven and ESSEC Business School, respectively.
