Mark Bane

Mark Bane, Esq. serves as President Emeritus at the Orthodox Union since January 2023, where Mark is also a past president. Mark Bane brings extensive legal expertise as a retired senior partner and chair of the Business Restructuring Department at Ropes & Gray LLP, a position held since February 2006. Prior experience includes partnership at Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, where Mark Bane chaired the bankruptcy department from April 1989 to February 2006. Additionally, Mark Bane served as National Chairman of NCSY from 2001 to 2005 and began a legal career as an associate at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP from September 1985 to April 1989. Mark Bane holds a JD in Law from New York University School of Law, a BTL in Talmudic Law from Ner Israel Rabbinical College, and a B.S. in Political Science from The Johns Hopkins University.
