Carla Read

Carla Read is an accomplished HR leader with extensive experience across multiple industries. Currently serving as Chief People Officer at Roq since February 2025, Carla previously held the position of Head of People at Desana from June 2021 to February 2025, where a comprehensive people plan was developed to support global expansion. Prior to that, Carla was the People and Culture Manager at Gresham Office Furniture, contributing to the HR function's establishment and supporting entry into the US market. Carla's career also includes a role as Global People Manager at Ultimate Performance, focusing on the creation of HR policies for diverse international sites. Carla holds a postgraduate degree in Human Resources Management and Development from The University of Salford.
