Walter Eevers

Walter Eevers serves as the Director of Research & Valorisation and Director of Research and Development at VITO since September 2013, focusing on elevating scientific excellence and sustainability efforts. In these roles, Walter has developed commercialization strategies, managed activities leading to spin-offs, established international ventures, and significantly contributed to intellectual property development, positioning VITO among Belgium's top research and technology organizations. Additionally, Walter holds various leadership positions including Visiting Professor at Universiteit Antwerpen, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at EnergyVille, Chair and Vice President of CO₂ Value Europe, and member of multiple boards and advisory bodies. Walter's academic credentials include a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Antwerp, an MBA from Hasselt University, and numerous executive programs from prestigious institutions.
