Rosamap is a non-profit NGO and open-source intelligence platform. We combine high-resolution satellite imagery, AI automation, and a global community of Environmental Detectives to map the physical footprint of the extractive industry.

The global transition to renewable energy and AI-powered systems is the most mineral-intensive shift in human history. To achieve a just transition, we need 300% more critical metals by 2030. However, the mining sector currently operates at a staggering 3/10 transparency rating.

While corporate ESG reports proliferate, actual site-level data is regressing. Rosamap is here to turn the lights on.
