Tom Phillips has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Tom is currently the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Roslin Technologies since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Multus as the Business Development Lead from March 2020 to October 2022, and as a Commercial Advisor from January 2020 to March 2022.
From August 2018 to October 2022, Tom worked independently as a Sustainable Food Advisor. Tom also served as a Consultant at SYSTEMIQ Ltd. from March 2019 to March 2020.
Tom's experience includes a significant role at AgDevCo, where they were the Associate Director & Ghana Country Manager from October 2012 to December 2018. Tom established and managed AgDevCo's Ghana country office and investment portfolio, overseeing a $15 million investment fund. Tom also served as an interim CEO and Chairman for a food business during a six-month turnaround period. Additionally, Tom played a key role in the development of a 350-hectare greenfield commercial farm.
Before AgDevCo, Tom was an Engagement Manager & Sustainability Fellow at McKinsey & Company from January 2008 to October 2012. In this role, they managed project teams and provided strategic guidance on sustainability and climate change, economic development, natural resource management, and energy.
Tom's earlier experience includes working as a Fellow at Technoserve Kenya in 2007 and as a Technical Manager at Vodafone from September 2004 to October 2006.
Tom Phillips attended Durham University from 2000 to 2004, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (MEng) degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, with a focus on Overseas Study. During their academic journey, in 2002 to 2003, Tom also participated in a one-year study abroad program at the University of Sydney, focusing on Engineering.
