Alexander Polunin began their work experience in 2008 as a Business Assistant in the Technology Stream at TNK BP. Alexander then took on roles as a Commercial Specialist in the Exploration Division and later as a Commercial Manager for the Brazil project. In 2013, they joined Rosneft as the Brazil Assets Manager for Overseas Projects Development. After that, they worked at Gazprom Neft as a Manager in the Economics and Budgeting Section. Finally, in 2017, Polunin returned to Rosneft as part of the Corporate Finance team.
Alexander Polunin's education history begins in 1998 when they attended Kamchatka State University named after Vitus Bering. From 1998 to 2004, they pursued a degree in Linguistics, focusing on English and Japanese languages. In 2005, Alexander continued their education at Vladivostok State University of Economics and Service in collaboration with California State Polytechnic University. Alexander completed their Bachelor of Economics in Management in 2006. Alexander then moved on to California State University - East Bay, where they earned an MBA in Strategic Management and Finance from 2007 to 2009.
