Michael Bekauri

Michael Bekauri has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Michael started their career at Moscow Oil and Gas Company in 2003, where they served as the Head of the strategic planning and development department. In this role, they were responsible for the development, coordination, and execution control of strategic options for the company and the entire group. Michael conducted SWOT analysis, identified new business opportunities, and optimized the asset portfolio.

Bekauri then joined TNK BP in 2005, where they served in various roles including Asset Department manager and Asset Department Director. In these positions, they managed downstream retail assets, including petrol stations and fuel terminals. Michael developed and implemented investment-related processes, created long and short-term business plans, and optimized the retail network.

In 2011, Bekauri joined Rosneft, where they held the positions of Deputy Head of Investment Governance, Team leader for joint offshore exploration projects with Eni, and Team Head. Michael'sresponsibilities included managing offshore joint projects with multiple partners, financing, procurement, planning, and project management.

Michael Bekauri has a diverse education history. Michael obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Mathematics from Piedmont University, where they studied from 1992 to 1998. Later, from 2002 to 2004, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance and Banking at Turo University in Moscow. Additionally, in 2010 and 2011, they attended Skolkovo Business School, where they earned a Certificate in TNK-BP Expert and Leadership Excellence.
