Devon Ayres

Devon Ayres has extensive work experience in the field of information technology and systems administration. Their most recent position was as an Information Technology Solutions Architect at Ross Video, starting in December 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior System Administrator - Virtualization at Ross Video from February 2021 to December 2022.

Before joining Ross Video, Devon worked as a Cloud Systems Administrator at BriteSky Technologies, Enterprise Canadian Cloud from April 2016 to February 2021. Devon also held the position of Systems Engineer at Decisive Enterprise IT Infrastructure from March 2016 to February 2021.

Devon has experience in delivering professional services solutions to customers and supporting sales efforts as a Storage Solution Consultant at OnX Enterprise Solutions from February 2015 to March 2016.

Devon also worked as a Solutions Engineer at TeraMach Technologies Inc. from February 2013 to February 2015. Prior to that, they gained experience as a Systems Analyst at Canadian Blood Services from December 2011 to February 2013, where they were involved in environment/configuration management, web-based application development, and software test environment management.

Devon also worked as a Captain and Chief Engineer aboard a sailing ketch in the Caribbean and Eastern North America from February 2011 to July 2011, where they provided consulting services to communications services providers and marine services industries.

Additionally, Devon gained experience in the field of storage and backup architecture through their role as a Storage/Backup Architect, initially at Kanatek Technologies and later at Nortel Networks from 1998 to 2007. At Nortel Networks, they were involved in NetBackup administration, server mergers and migrations, SAN management assistance, and HSM global management and migration projects.

Throughout their career, Devon has demonstrated expertise in information technology, systems administration, virtualization, cloud systems administration, storage solutions, and backup architecture.

Devon Ayres's education history includes attending Athabasca University from 2002 to 2005, where they pursued personal interest courses. In 1991 to 1992, Devon studied Electronics Engineering Technology at Algonquin College. Prior to these higher education experiences, they completed their high school education at South Carleton High School. Additionally, Devon has obtained several certifications, including the CCNA Data Center, Cisco ASE - Architecture Systems Engineer - Data Center, VCE Certified Professional Associate, Symantec Technical Specialist - Symantec Enterprise Vault 10.0 for Exchange, and many other certifications related to IT and technology.
