Doug Freeman has a diverse work experience in the broadcast and video production industry. Doug started their career as an Engineer at Northwest Teleproductions in 1993, where they were responsible for maintaining and upgrading various video production equipment from manufacturers such as Grass Valley, Sony, Ursa, Snell & Wilcox, SGI, Stone & wire, Ampex, Apple, and Davinci. In 1997, they joined Alpha Video as a Senior Broadcast Engineer and remained in that role until 2011. At Alpha Video, they contributed their expertise in managing broadcast equipment. In 2011, they joined Ross Video as a Technical Commissioning Specialist and was promoted to the role of Technical Commissioning Manager in 2017.

Doug Freeman completed their education with a BSEE degree from the University of Minnesota between 1994 and 2002. During their time at the university, they focused on a variety of subjects including Electronics, Mathematics, Physics, and Programming. Prior to that, from 1982 to 1985, they attended Century College where they pursued a 2-year degree in Television Electronics.
