Simon Roy

Simon Roy has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Simon currently holds the position of Software License Administrator at Ross Video, starting in September 2021. Prior to this, Simon worked as a Self-Employed Voice Over Actor from 2008 onwards.

Simon has also gained valuable experience at Bell Media, where they held multiple roles including Audio Editor, Copywriter, and On-Air Talent. Simon contributed to Bell Media Radio Ottawa's four stations, as well as worked as a voice talent for CTV and CTV2 Ottawa. Simon was employed at Bell Media from August 2007 to September 2021.

In addition, Simon spent some time as a Production Manager/Announcer at Brockville and hosted on-air shifts at 103.7 BOB FM and 104.3 as part of their role at Bell Media.

Furthermore, Simon has shared their expertise in audio recording and voiceover as a Course Instructor at The Acting Company. Simon designed and implemented courses centered around voiceover work and voice recording from an introductory level to cartoon and character classes. Simon served as a Course Instructor from 2014 to November 2019.

Prior to their time at Bell Media, Simon worked at Rogers Radio Group in Sudbury, where they held the position of Producer/Announcer. During this role, Simon gained comprehensive experience in various aspects of radio production, including hosting, producing, writing, board operation, and technical support.

Overall, Simon Roy has built a strong and diverse skill set through their work across different companies and industries, specializing in voiceover acting, audio editing, copywriting, and radio production.

Simon Roy attended Sudbury Secondary School from 1997 to 2002, where they studied Fine/Studio Arts, General. After completing their high school education, they enrolled at Fanshawe College from 2002 to 2004 to pursue a Broadcasting diploma with a specialization in Radio Broadcasting. In 2019, Simon furthered their education at Alliance Francaise Ottawa, focusing on French Studies.
