Chief Engineer at Rotor

David Walker has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. David is currently working as the Chief Engineer at Rotor, where they contribute to the development of aircraft piloting technology. Prior to this, from 2016 to 2022, they served as a Senior Engineer at Cambustion. In this role, they ran internal development projects for both existing and new products, incorporating engineering calculations, numerical models, and experimental measurements. Additionally, they worked as a Product Engineer at Cambustion, focusing on research and development for the Cambustion DPG, an automotive exhaust filter testing bench. David gained early experience as an Undergraduate Intern at Bladon Jets in 2015, where they assisted in fuel injector and combustor design and testing. David also acquired skills in engineering drawings, structural and heat transfer calculations, and CFD visualization. In 2013, as an Undergraduate Intern at Ingimex Limited, David worked on projects to improve production tooling for 3.5-ton van bodies.

David Walker attended Idsall School from 2008 to 2012. However, no specific degree or field of study was mentioned during their time there. Following that, from 2012 to 2016, they pursued a B.A. (First Class) and MEng in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Cambridge.
