Joe Earle

Joe Earle is an experienced journalist and editor with a career spanning several decades. Earle began as a reporter at The Greenville Piedmont, covering various beats including politics and courts from 1975 to 1981. Following a role at The Wichita Eagle, Earle contributed to the Atlanta Journal Constitution in various editorial capacities from 1986 to 2009, including SWAT Editor and Metro Section Editor. Earle served as Managing Editor for Reporter Newspapers from 2010 to 2016, overseeing multiple publications. Currently, Earle works as an Editor At Large for Springs Publishing and has been engaged in freelance writing and editing since 2009. Earle is also the author of "Decatur," a photographic history of Decatur, Georgia, published in 2010. Earle holds a BA in English from Davidson College and an MS in Journalism from Columbia University.
