Matt Holden has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries.
Matt started their career in 1999 at Internet Junction, where they provided technical support and customer service to ISP customers. Matt authored training manuals and received training in operations.
In 2004, Matt worked as a Java/C++/SQL Instructor at Hands-On Technology Transfer, traveling to different locations to teach programming languages and SQL. Matt also supervised laboratory assignments and updated training manuals.
From 2006 to 2011, they served as the Director of Marketing/Technology at Applied Media Technologies Corporation, responsible for software design and development, as well as overseeing R&D, IT, and Technical Support departments. Matt also created the company's R&D and Marketing/PR departments.
From 2011 to 2015, Matt worked as a Software Engineer at TylerNet/SmartWerks USA, where they developed point-of-sale and retail management software. Matt constructed modules, ported code, built a business intelligence suite, and utilized various tools and technologies.
In 2015, they joined HostDime.com as a Senior Software Architect, a role they held until 2019.
From 2019 to 2020, Matt worked as a Senior Web Application Developer at Entertainment Benefits Group, a provider of entertainment benefit platforms.
In 2020, they had two short-term roles as a Software Architect at Red Meters and as the Director of Engineering at PT Genie.
Since 2021, Matt has been employed at Routable as a Senior Software Engineer, specializing in Developer Experience.
Most recently, they have been serving as the Executive Director at Indie Game Alliance since 2014. In this role, they oversee a guild of independent tabletop game developers and provides various services, including marketing, support, and distribution.
Throughout their career, Matt has gained experience in software engineering, development, architecture, and management roles, with a focus on the gaming and technology sectors.
Matt Holden has a diverse education history. In 1994, they attended Ridgewood High School and completed their secondary education in 1998. Following that, Matt attended the University of Central Florida from 1998 to 1999, where they obtained an Associate of Arts degree. In 2001, they obtained two additional certifications: the Friedman Gold Star Retail Certification from The Friedman Group Retail Consulting & Training, and the A+ Certification from CompTIA. Matt then pursued further education at Full Sail University from 2003 to 2004, earning an Associate of Science degree in Game Design and Development. In the same year, they also underwent training in Java, SQL, C, and C++ programming at Aspen University.
