Carey Thacker

Carey Thacker is the Business Development Manager for the Mid-Atlantic region at RouteOne. Prior to joining RouteOne, Carey worked as a Mortgage Consultant at Capital One Home Loans from March 2009 to November 2012.

During their time at Capital One, Carey excelled in helping clients navigate the challenging economic times and increasing their loan quantity and volume without compromising excellent customer service, compliance, or project management.

Carey has a deep knowledge of mortgage products and is able to correlate this knowledge to their client's goals, creditworthiness, and finances to assist them in reaching their personal financial goals. Carey is also able to monitor and assist with the process of 30-40 individual loans simultaneously to ensure service level agreements, deliverables, and efficient fulfillment.

In addition to their work with clients, Carey also developed and followed-up on cold and warm sales leads for Mortgage products to both Capital One Bank and external customers who were buying or refinancing homes.

Carey is an expert in time management and was able to adhere to a strict schedule while balancing inbound calls in a call-center atmosphere. Carey also tested and piloted a new loan origination system and assisted in training other mortgage consultants on its use.

By building rapport with clients and Capital One branches via telephone, Carey was able to ensure trust, positive customer service experiences, and increased sales pipeline. Carey was also able to cultivate and maintain relationships with mortgage department staff, such as underwriters, processors, closers, to ensure smooth processes, client satisfaction, and resolve any arising issues.

Throughout their time at Capital One Home Loans, Carey kept clients updated on the status of their loans by communicating frequently and coordinating requirements to finalize their loan process.

Carey Thacker has a business administration degree from Towson University in business management.
