Wayne Zakowski

Wayne Zakowski is a DMTS-Architect at Avaya, where they focus on IP-telephony applications and have engaged in various projects involving H.323, H.248, and SIP connected gateways since 2000. Previously, Wayne worked at Lucent Technologies from 1996 to 2000, specializing in multimedia systems and serving as Technical Chair of the Multimedia Communications Forum. Before that, they spent over two decades at AT&T, primarily at Bell Labs, leading projects in hardware and software design for PBX systems and contributing to ANSI, ITU, and IEEE standards. Wayne holds both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, obtained from the University of Colorado Boulder and Michigan Technological University, respectively.
