Alan Deng

Alan Deng has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Their most recent position was as a Software Engineer at RoviSys, where they are currently employed. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer at Averatist, where they spearheaded the technical design and integration of Stripe into an app, resulting in payment processing capabilities. Alan also built a wellness app using NextJS, React, MongoDB, and Javascript, and transitioned the app from Chakra UI to Daisy UI and Tailwind CSS, improving site load speeds and development times.

Before their role at Averatist, Alan worked as a Software Engineer from October 2021 to May 2022. Additionally, they completed a Full-stack Software Engineering Immersive program at General Assembly. During this program, they developed a portfolio of individual and group projects, including an app called Property Portfolio Manager that utilized Google Maps and Places APIs.

Alan's previous experience includes roles as a Product Manager at Logos from July 2020 to March 2021, a Project Manager at Epic from March to October 2019, and a Digital Marketing Manager at Living Tree Community Foods from May 2018 to February 2019.

Alan Deng attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2014 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics. In 2021, they also attended General Assembly, although it does not specify if they obtained a degree. At General Assembly, Alan focused on computer software engineering.
