James Garrard

James Garrard, CSM has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. James began their career at Century Aluminum as a Software Developer, where they implemented enterprise software applications and served as a team lead for a Microsoft SharePoint implementation project. James also created finance and safety approval workflows that resulted in budget allocations, quick financial approvals, cost savings, and audit compliance.

Next, they worked at Garrard & Sons IT Consulting as a Project Leader, overseeing web application development and hardware upgrade projects. James was the primary point of contact for customers and project teams, developing project plans and ensuring project scope and timelines were met.

James then joined ProgressiveHealth as a Project Leader / Application Developer, where they led meetings with end users to organize projects, minimize scope creep, and bring projects in on schedule. James built project plans based on scope of work, available resources, and end user needs, and presented design recommendations to clients.

After that, at JMG Freight Group, they served as a Technical Lead / Software Developer and acted as the chief technical officer for the company. James advised on new technical tools and options to improve company performance, and performed financial analysis and forecasting based on company trends.

Later, they worked at OneMain Financial as a Technical Product Manager, leading technical projects and developing project plans and timelines using Microsoft Project and JIRA. James was also responsible for selecting and implementing third-party products, ensuring vendors met service level agreements, and supporting the best interest of the company.

Currently, they are working at RoviSys as a Project Manager. In this role, they build schedules, requirements, resource plans, quality plans, and prioritizes initiatives. James works with software engineers to deliver solutions and features in a fast-paced environment, ensuring efficient and effective solution development and sustainable implementation.

James Garrard, CSM, holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Southern Indiana. Additionally, they have acquired an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree from Madisonville Community College. In August 2020, James obtained the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
