Mark Aranda

Lead Software Engineer at RoviSys

Mark Aranda has a diverse work experience, with their most recent position as a Lead Software Engineer at RoviSys since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Engineer at the same company from May 2019 to March 2023. During this time, Mark led a team of 5 computer engineers and successfully developed a gesture detection app using Android OS to facilitate communication between individuals with Autism and their caretakers. Mark also incorporated machine learning concepts to enhance gesture detection accuracy and designed code to interpret sign language and generate corresponding words or phrases.

Before joining RoviSys, Mark served as the President of the College of Technology SETS at the University of Houston from June 2018 to May 2019. In this role, they mentored over 30 students, providing guidance in career development, academics, and leadership. Mark also contributed strategic financial input and leadership in decision-making processes that impacted the organization.

Mark Aranda attended the University of Houston from 2015 to 2019 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering Technology.
