David LaRose

David LaRose has worked in the robotics field for over a decade. In 2011, they began their career as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Carnegie Robotics LLC. In 2015, they joined Uber as the Engineering Lead for the Uber Advanced Technologies Group. In 2017, they returned to Carnegie Robotics LLC in the role of Chief Scientist. In 2018, they moved to Rowbot Systems as the Chief Robotics Scientist. In 2021, they joined Thoro.ai as a Board Member, where they work with world-class OEMs to automate repetitive, manual tasks.

David LaRose obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 2001. David also holds a Bachelor of Arts - BA from Brown University.
