Jack Carlson

Creative Director at Rowing Blazers

Jack Carlson has a long and varied work experience. Jack began their career in 2006 as a Teaching Assistant in Economics at Georgetown University. In 2007, they became an Archaeologist for the Mugello Valley Archaeological Project at Southern Methodist University, where they worked until 2011. From 2011 to 2015, they were a Clarendon Scholar at the University of Oxford, as well as the Head Coach of Oriel College, Oxford. In 2015, they became a Visiting Scholar, Classics Teacher, and Boy's Head Rowing Coach at St. Mark's School. In 2017, they began their current role as Creative Director at Rowing Blazers, and also became an Athlete for the US National Rowing Team.

Jack Carlson completed their undergraduate studies at Georgetown University Walsh School of Foreign Service, graduating in 2009 with a B.S.F.S. in Foreign Service, Chinese, and Classics. Jack then went on to pursue a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Archaeology at the University of Oxford, which they completed in 2011. Jack then continued their studies at the same institution, graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) in Archaeology in 2015.
