John Mair is a geologist and mining executive who has worked in the industry for over 20 years. John is currently the Director at Rox Resources Limited, a position they have held since October 2019.
Mair has a long history of working in the minerals industry, starting as a Project Manager at Geoinformatics Exploration Inc in 2006. John then spent two years as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at MDRU - Mineral Deposit Research Unit, UBC, before joining Greenland Minerals Ltd as an Executive Director in 2011. John was promoted to Managing Director/CEO in 2014 and held this position until December 2021.
During their time at Greenland Minerals Ltd, Mair was responsible for leading the company through a period of significant growth. Under their leadership, the company successfully exploration for copper-gold in Alaska, Yukon, BC, and Mexico. John also oversaw the development of the company's first mine in Greenland, which is now one of the largest producers of rare earth elements in the world.
Mair has been recognized for their work in the minerals industry, receiving numerous awards and accolades throughout their career. Most recently, they were named Mining Executive of the Year at the 2020 Australian Mining Prospect Awards.
John Mair completed their undergraduate degree at The University of Western Australia before going on to complete a Doctor of Philosophy in Economic Geology at the same school.
