RP Photonics is best known for its famous online encyclopedia of photonics. It has three areas of business activity:

- the most effective online marketing solutions for photonics products, based on an enormously popular website

- advanced simulation software for laser technology, fiber optics and related areas

- technical and scientific consulting, including activities like tailored staff training courses

The RP Photonics website contains two large, intimately connected and highly popular resources:

- the famous RP Photonics Encyclopedia (https://www.rp-photonics.com/encyclopedia.html), a huge and extremely popular open-access online encyclopedia with high quality, and

- the RP Photonics Buyer's Guide (https://www.rp-photonics.com/buyersguide.html), a high-quality resource for finding suppliers in photonics - obviously also of high importance for the suppliers themselves.

Having the most popular website in the area of laser technology worldwide, RP Photonics can offer highly attractive online advertising in the area of photonics: https://www.rp-photonics.com/marketing.html

We are also offering powerful simulation & design software (https://www.rp-photonics.com/software.html) for research and development in photonics, for example:

- RP Fiber Power for passive and active fiber optics
- RP Resonator for laser resonator design
- RP Coating for thin-film optics
- RP ProPulse for pulse propagation e.g. in mode-locked lasers

The consulting covers a wide range of technical areas such as lasers and amplifiers, nonlinear optics, ultrashort pulses, fiber optics, thin-film optics, and noise in optics.
