Phil Cotter has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Phil recently held the position of Growth Lead at RRAI. Prior to that, they were Head of Field Engineering at Built Robotics. Additionally, Phil worked as an Operations Associate at American Industrial Partners. Before transitioning to the private sector, they served in the Army, where they held the roles of Detachment Commander and Officer Candidate in the Army Special Forces (Airborne), and Engineer Company Executive Officer and Engineer Platoon Leader in the US Army. Phil also worked as a Pratt Undergraduate Research Fellow and a Research Assistant at Duke University.

Phil Cotter attended Duke University from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) with a focus in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Neuroscience. Phil then went on to pursue further education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2019 to 2021. At MIT, Phil earned a Master of Science (SM) degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and they also completed an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management during the same period.
