Joe Behan

Joe Behan has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles. Joe began their career in 1985 at Le Moyne College, where they served as a Residence Hall Director and later as the Assistant Director of Student Activities. Joe then became the Director of Residence Life and subsequently the Assistant Dean for Student Life. In 1995, they joined Loyola University in Maryland as the Associate Dean for Student Development and Director of Student Life. Joe later moved to Le Moyne College as the Assistant to the Vice President for Student Development. From 2001 to 2013, Joe worked at Cazenovia College as the Vice President for Student Development and Dean of Student Life, overseeing various student services. In 2014, they became a Partner at The Center for Effective Organizational Leadership. In 2015, Joe joined The College of Mount Saint Vincent as the Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students on an interim basis. Joe also served as the Director of Human Resources and Title IX Coordinator at the same institution. In 2016, Joe joined Syracuse University as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner. Their most recent position is as the Vice President of Human Resources and Development at Rapid Response Monitoring, which they started in September 2017.

Joe Behan earned a Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed.) degree in College Student Development, with a focus on Higher Education Administration, from Alfred University in 1985. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Management Science, with a specialization in Industrial and Labor Relations, from SUNY Geneseo. Joe also holds an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Business Administration from SUNY Canton. Beyond these formal educational qualifications, Joe has an additional certification as a Title IX Investigator, although specific details about the institution and the year of obtaining the certification are not provided.
