Michael Probst's work experience begins in 2019 as a Programming Intern at Super Soul LLC, where they led programming on a 2D shooter prototype project and handled tasks such as weapon mechanics, inventory management, level design, and enemy scripting.
In 2016, they worked as an Intern at Mason & Hanger, starting in the architecture department and then transitioning to Electrical Engineering. Their responsibilities included CAD work, managing a library of standard details, lighting plan, lightning protection, and power design and calculations.
In 2020, Michael joined RSET as a Lead Unity Developer. In this role, they created and added features to 3D training simulations for first responders and the military. Michael also participated in client meetings, conducted market research, managed social media and a Kickstarter campaign, and created visual marketing assets. Their development duties included working on a social platform for data sharing, AI behavior, UX/UI design, VR, recreations of real-life events, training scenario creation, level design, and development of a zombie survival game.
Starting in 2021, they became a Lead Game Designer at the University of Kentucky College of Public Health, where they designed a game for research purposes, working part-time throughout 2021 and intermittently since.
Michael Probst completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Kentucky, which they attended from 2016 to 2020. Michael then pursued further education at the same university, completing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from 2020 to 2021. Additionally, Michael Probst obtained a True LEAN Certification from Toyota Motor Corporation in June 2019.
