Michael Schmidt has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Michael began their career in 2003 as an Instructor at David Deaton Karate Studios, teaching Wado-Ryu karate to both children and adults. In 2005, they worked as a Low Voltage Cable Installer at Boe-Tel TN Company LLC.
In 2006, Michael joined the University of Kentucky as a Commercialization Engineer, where they were responsible for CAD modeling, high-detail renders, software development, microcontroller programming, robotics, and prototyping. Michael worked on bringing high-tech engineering research to the prototype stage and commercialization stage.
In 2011, Michael joined Lexmark as a Firmware Engineer. Michael was responsible for developing and maintaining Linux Device Drivers for wireless networking modules and the user interface panel. Michael also collaborated with other teams on new controller card bring up, evaluated Linux system performance metrics, and wrote initial drivers for a new Bluetooth Low Energy module.
In 2016, Michael became a Co-Owner at SOKY Properties, LLC, where they worked until 2021.
In 2017, Michael took on multiple roles at different companies. Michael became the Chief Technology Officer at RSET, where they were the initial author and developer of the Rapid Synthetic Environment Tool (RSET), a Unity-based software simulator for creating synthetic training environments. Michael'srole later shifted to include engineering management and business development as the company grew.
At Enomalies LLC, Michael became the Director of Operations in 2021. Michael is responsible for exploring and implementing new technological advancements in the company's ongoing endeavors. Michael serves as the lead architect and developer, working on commercialization and prototype projects for Enomalies' R&D As A Service operations.
Michael Schmidt completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Kentucky from 2004 to 2009. Michael then pursued a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering at the same university from 2009 to 2011.
