Tom Maslen

Tom Maslen is an experienced engineering manager currently leading a team of software engineers at RS Components since April 2019, where responsibilities include hiring, managing an apprenticeship program, and architecting enterprise solutions. Previously, Tom founded featureflag.tech and worked as a senior software developer at SpringerNature, where significant improvements in application reliability and scalability were achieved through cloud migrations. Prior experience includes roles at BBC News, where Tom served as tech lead, interim engineering manager, and senior web developer, contributing to major projects and managing development teams. With a solid educational background in computer science and interactive media design, Tom is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree at Birkbeck, University of London.
