Mark Whitney

Mark Whitney currently serves as the National Practice Leader for Real Property Taxes and Real Estate Transfer Tax at RSM, a position held since October 2025. Prior to this role, Mark was the Associate Vice President of Real Estate Taxes at Macerich from May 2023 to November 2025. Mark has extensive experience in property tax services, having led national initiatives at CBRE as Managing Director, where responsibilities included strategic planning and client care. Previous roles include Director at CBRE, Senior Managing Consultant at Paradigm Tax Group, and Chief Operating Officer at Cash Transaction Management Services. Mark began a career in the public sector as City Auditor for the City of Tempe after earning a B.S. in Accounting from Arizona State University.
