Adam Pickles is an experienced wildlife conservation professional currently serving as a Specialist Field Team Leader for the Orkney Native Wildlife Project at RSPB since April 2022, where responsibilities include monitoring and protecting hen harrier nesting populations. Previous roles include Bird Conservationist for the Mauritius Kestrel at The Mauritian Wildlife Foundation, where Adam monitored one of the world's most endangered birds, and Assistant Ranger for the National Trust, focusing on the protection of Schedule 1 listed species. Adam also has extensive experience in outdoor activity instruction and project management within forestry, alongside volunteering roles that contributed to hands-on conservation efforts. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Wildlife Conservation from Bournemouth University and ongoing Master of Science studies in Green Economy at the same institution.
