Alan Murray

Alan Murray has a diverse work experience in the environmental industry. Alan started their career as a Country Park Ranger at Kirklees Metropolitan Council in 1991 and worked there until 1994. Alan then moved to Derbyshire County Council, where they served as the Head Ranger for North East Derbyshire from 1994 to 1996. Following that, they joined RSPB and held various positions, including Head of Volunteering Development from 1996 to 2016, and later became the Head of Volunteering and Employee Engagement in 2016.

Alan Murray attended Portsmouth Polytechnic from 1985 to 1988, where they earned a BSc. Hons degree in Geographical Science. Their field of study focused on Geographical Science.
