International Species Recovery Officer & SAVE Vulture Programme Manager at RSPB

Chris Bowden is a seasoned conservation professional with extensive experience in ornithology and species recovery. Currently serving as the International Species Recovery Officer and SAVE Vulture Programme Manager at RSPB since October 1994, Chris oversees vulture conservation efforts in South Asia, primarily based in Bangalore, India, since August 2013. Prior to this role, Chris worked as a Project Coordinator for BirdLife International on the Mount Kupe Forest Project in Cameroon and as a Research Biologist at RSPB, focusing on the breeding ecology of various bird species. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Ecology from Loughborough University, attained from 1979 to 1982.
