David Sheldon

David Sheldon is an experienced professional in public affairs, education, and cultural engagement, currently serving as the Public Affairs Manager at RSPB since June 2017, where responsibilities include leading on engagement, communications, and advocacy. In addition, David has been the Head of Learning Programmes at The British Museum since July 2014, overseeing various educational initiatives within the museum's framework. With involvement in Museums & Resilient Leadership since April 2013, David has benefited from one-on-one mentoring and expert business advice focused on entrepreneurship and strategic development. Previous roles include Trustee and Chair of Learning & Interpretation Group at Chedham's Yard Trust, Education Manager at English Heritage, and Museum Education Officer at Bradford City Council, contributing significantly to educational program management and outreach efforts. David's educational background includes a BSc in Environmental Science & Geography from the University of Bradford and a PGCE in KS2/3 Science from Bradford College, supplemented by leadership training from the Clore Leadership Programme.
